Review: ‘Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story’ Season 2 Episode 1

Dirty John began a brand new season this week, focusing on the Betty Broderick story. Broderick gained national headlines for killing her husband, but few know what drove her to do that. Amanda Peet and Christian Slater play the leads in this series, and it’s off to a great start. Here are my 5 takeaways.

5. Never good –

It’s never good when the other wives are in the produce section gossiping about you. Seeing this should have set off alarm bells, but I was going into this blind.

4. Love the outfits –

The look that Betty and others have had in the series so far is so fun. Love seeing the big 80’s blazers and teased hairstyles too.

3. She’s crazy –

Amanda Peet is fantastic as Betty. She’s so on the edge from the very moment the show begins, and anyone can see how she’s slipping away little by little.

2. Listen!

Betty wants all of this to be over and is so naive to think it will be. Listen to your friends!

1. These two –

Without the chemistry of these two, this show would have been a complete waste.
